Pop Culture Kryptonite

In pop culture, my biggest weakness is that I cannot ignore the comment sections on Facebook. If a post has over ten comments, I will most likely start to scroll through them all. I follow a lot of news outlets which provoke a lot of negative comments from many different people, and I find myself frustrated as I read many comments. For example, I follow the Washington Post which will have many comments from people who will disagree with anything the Post publishes. When I read comments, I really want to respond and debate even though I do not want to engage in a Facebook debate. Even when a commentator has completely skewed facts, I have to resist responding because I do not want my family to see what I am commenting. Also, sometimes my Facebook friends will share news from fake sites where I know I should not read the article or comments, but I engage anyways. However, the Facebook comments do not always infuriate me which is probably why I still look at them. For example, I read an article about the crazy things a mom might find herself saying to her kids. The article was hilarious so I read the comments where I found many similar stories which were just as funny.
